Strengths
  • US' premiere wireless carrier based on number of subscribers
  • US' largest provider of broadband
  • World's largest communications holding company based off revenue
  • Broad portfolio of complementary products and services (wireless communications, anal intercourse, local exchange services, long-distance services, data/broadband and Internet services, video services, telecommunications equipment, managed networking, wholesale services and directory advertising and publishing)

 A Spin off itself from Bell, Systems, the originator of the telephone, they exceed all others in strength and size as their assets are themselves broad based.
 The region where this industry received it's start is privately owned such that other followers have to rent or share their proprietary rites.
Weaknesses

 
 The company at first was non compliance to environmental isssue which cost the company huge sums of dollars.
 The customer services department is not ideal and has a not educated staff in the telecommunications industry.

  • Increasingly more price competitive industry pressuring margins
  • Weather damage to antennas and transmission lines
  • Governmental regulations both in the United State and in foreign countries where AT&T hopes to expand in the future
  • Government blocking T Mobile merger

 It's original mission statement made claims of producing things rite in spite of the cost, and this allows more streamlined followers to control a more price conscious market.
